I kinda think it's hard to really know right now Sigur3. Of course not having Sloot is a blow but having Faulkner back along with DeShields *may* be enough to keep The Sky above water.

Stocks had to evaluate the talent. With preseason over she now has to work on chemistry as well as get that front line going. They lost on the boards in all three preseason games.

I know I really don't have a feel for this team until I see a couple of games...

SLOOT MAY BE ON THE WAY HOME--Sloot is not shown as a starter nor is she shown on the team roster for the 1st. leg championship playoff game in Turkey being played today (5-14). This means she MIGHT be able to play in the 5-19 game. SIGUR3-ANY INFO ON THIS???

My big question is how will Stocks get the rookies going. Coates, DeShields and Williams.

When it comes to Sloot, perhaps her contract says she's done when the season starts???

Sloot's team in 2nd. playoff game today and SHE IS IN THE LINE_UP. No reason for not showing on roster for Monday game. This will scratch her for first 2/3 games with the Sky.

There's no doubt without Sloot there's a drop off at PG...but I think Faulkner will be able hold it down with others.

I'm sure Stocks is working them hard on how she wants the offense to flow. It's gonna be tough though because this team is so different...with 3 rookies which have to contribute.

The key has to be to take it slow and build on it every game. I can't wait to see the Indy game.

Sloot may miss first 4 SKY games. She won today with high score of 15 and 11 assists for another dbl/dbl (Great HD Turkish TV). Playoff is tied at 1/1 for best of 5. Even if she wins next 2, with travel, 4th.game is iffy. Still no info about any injury that caused her to miss Monday's game. I saw Deshields play a little PG in Semi playoff, handles the ball well but a little deliberate and stingy with assists.

Thanks for that info P51D. I've seen DeShields play and you're right on. The one thing I'll say is it was overseas play. Perhaps with The Sky she'll share the ball.

I think we'll see Faulkner and Quigley handle the PG spot moreso than DeShields though. She's in the mold of Copper...she can score of the dribble quite well.

Woodie-I agree that, in Sloot's absence, we will probably see Faulkner at the PG maybe switching on and off with Quigley. But assists don't seem to come easy for either of them as well. Looking for the shot seems to be the mindset where Sloot's is to be looking for an opening to assist. Gabby Williams is a lot like Deshields in being able to play a little PG. Both Gabby & Deshields play "taller" than actual height which added to their speed will make a lot of difference in the front court. I think you will see either of them at the SG on occasion.

My worry is how the rookies transition to the pro game. It all counts from here on...and we know they had a tough time scoring in preseason.
